WHEN YOU FIRST RECEIVE YOUR GRINDER

We recommend cleaning your grinder before using it for the first time. While we have stringent quality control checks to ensure that you get a great product every time, prior to cleaning, please check for and remove any loose metal fragments that may have been left from the manufacturing process.

To clean, unscrew all parts and wash the grinder using alcohol (Isopropyl) or dish detergent. We recommend using an old toothbrush to get into all the crevices and to avoid running your fingers along the grinder’s sharp teeth. Rinse in warm water and allow to dry. For faster drying, dab the grinder with a dry cloth or dish towel. Screw the grinder back together again and you are now ready to start grinding!

HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE FOUR PARTS

1. The lid has the Masterdam logo on outer surface and grinding teeth on the inside. The magnetic lid keeps the grinder tightly shut, when in use or when stored.

2. The grinding chamber contains the opposing set of grinding teeth and precisely sized holes in its base, allowing ground herb to fall through.

3. The third part with the micron screen screws onto the grinding chamber. It separates the pollen, or the finest particles and crystals, from the ground herb.

4. The base, or bottom part, is where the pollen is collected. The base screws onto the third part with the micron screen.

ONCE IN USE

You shouldn’t need to clean your grinder. However, if you want to keep it looking new, here is what you do.

First, collect any residual pollen or dust prior to cleaning. A piece of white paper can be handy. Next, disassemble and tap the parts together. Use an old toothbrush to get into the nooks and crannies without cutting your fingers on the sharp teeth. Take care when cleaning your screen to avoid damaging it.

If you are struggling to get herb residue out, soak the grinder in alcohol for several minutes. Let all parts dry thoroughly. Finally, reassemble the grinder and you are ready to go!
